Latest information of injured Steelers

On Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton left practice with a knee injury, and second-year wide receiver Limas Sweed also did not finish practice because of hamstring injury. Running back Willie Parker still sat out for back spasms. Outside linebacker LaMarr Woodley returned after sitting out three days with swelling in his right knee.

Hampton missed three games last season with a groin injury. As a four-time Pro Bowl player, he is considered the key to the Steelers' league-leading rushing defense, and coach Mike Tomlin expected that he would be fine and able to play during regular season.

Sweed was Steelers' second-round pick in 2008. He may be the No.1 top candidate to replace Nate Washington, who chose to wear titans jersey. Parker has been out of practice for the second straight day as the Steelers worked on their goal-line offense for the first time since camp began July 31.
